SCAVENGING SYSTEM
Finding useful objects in the apocalypse may seem difficult, but if you look hard enough and think outside of the box there's always a chance you'll find something useful or special in it's own right, or perhaps nothing at all. This set up is to provide a realistic approach on what members find. Threads that involve searching for items that can be added into character inventories should be linked here. From there your character or group can search a location to their hearts content, and staff will use a randomizer to fairly determine whether a particular object will be found or not.
What to do...
+ Link your scavenging/hunting thread below.
+ At the bottom of the post write a very short (max of three sentences) description of what said character is looking for and where. EX: Devan cross, searched the dresser drawers, and night stand in the first floor bedroom.
+ Wait for a staff member to reply with the outcome of your search.
+ Continue searching to your hearts content.
Keep in mind that you won't always find what you're looking for. Even if you don't find something right away, it doesn't hurt to keep looking until you do.
Items:
A Radio - These are extremely valuable. They are expensive in the merchant outpost, and for good reason. On the side bar of the forum there is a section at the top for 'NEWS' these are announcements that are given IC through the radio. The weather forecast is broadcast through this device, as well as where hordes of the undead are predicted to travel.
A Map - This item is solely created for the event, and the future one to occur. It is just as valuable as the radio, as it allows the owner to travel through the main boards of the forum with the knowledge of knowing where everything's at. Basically, you're no longer a chicken flailing around with its head cut off, and can locate new places quicker than most can.

GROUPS
As the site progresses groups will begin to develop ic. If you are a new member and you would like to join it's advised that you speak with members of the group first before joining. After being accepted you can join ic as well to ad to the development of your character if you want. To form a group there must be four or more members that are willing to to join/form it. All groups that are created ic will be posted below with a description of what they stand for, a list of common place rules, and an active number of the members.

Location: Their current base resides within the camp grounds. Devan's grandfather owned a fairly decent sized cabin there, so this is where they reside.
Description: Formed to help protect those that need the security, and or can't protect themselves, Safe Haven accepts new members with a warm welcome so long as they agree to the rules. The leader is more open to welcoming new members than not, just be considerate of others and help take care of the group and you won't get on his bad side.

Rules: 1. Don't kill, harm, or strangle each other -resolutions should be solved amongst each other, preferably without fighting, or with Devan's help.

3. When accepting new members, they are to meet with Devan asap before officially joining.
4. Don't mess with Devan in the morning/or wake him up early, unless you want to die.

Location: Yami and Missy made the strategic move to take base in a house hidden away behind two houses and a forest at its back in the neighborhood. It's a two story house with both a wine cellar and attic.
Description: L.O.U. was formed when Yami got together when three other individuals. It was an unlikely meeting but they've muddled through their issues and now L.O.U. is a group dedicated to helping others survive this chaotic world and looking for the possibility that lost loved ones are still alive. Its a group for equality and no one person is more important. there's no real leader in the group but for the sake of saying so as founder Yami and Kris are usually the go to.

Rules:
There is to be no physical fighting between members unless it is sparring (or Kris and Yami)
Everyone carries their own weight but works together

Group name: Booty Squad
Location: The BB's base of operations is located in a dingy B&B in the downtown area, not far from the highway. A good majority of the rooms on the first floor are unusable, however the group has managed to clear enough out where they can use the lobby and some of the rooms in the second floor. The entrance to the 'booty den' as they prefer to call it, is hidden by a mass of rubble and the door is covered by the B&B's once flashing sign.
Description: This group has one purpose and that is to steal the booty from other groups or survivors. They raid groups, they plot murder. They do everything wrong and it feels so right to them. Murder, robbery, and anything else in between. The leader is not against feeding people to zombies if those people get on his nerves. He has been known to throw his own members to zombies because they screw up, or tick him off enough. So don't get him angry, it's a grudge for life when he's ticked off.

Location: The BG’s have all settled in a prison where inside the gang thrives on togetherness and efficiency. Surprisingly, it's cleaner than what you'd expect.
Description: Formed out of a desperate need for support and togetherness from various personnel working at the prison and two individuals that we know as Larse and Royce, both led those surviving to what they are today. Having assisted the survivors of a shoot out and revolt, Royce and Larse have gripped them all under guidance and fair rules. The Leader is particularly business inclined, and thus new members are taken with a cautious grain of salt. Interviews are done with his co-leader and once gaining trust with comrades the group has a distinct tight knit family feel.
Founder(s): Royce London, as the leader. Larse Meerholz, as the co-leader.
Rules:
1. Always remain productive. Laziness is prohibited. Every person should have a job and if you don’t have one at the moment, ask someone if they need assistance.
2. Violence between members is frowned upon and will be dealt with. It is only with punishment that violence will be used to fit the crime.
3. All matters of importance are to be taken up to Royce London with Larse Meerholz being the second if he is ill or too busy.
4. Food and Medical supplies are shared evenly throughout members and superiors alike.
5. A set schedule of patrols are mandatory to keep things in order. Any problems or issues whether structural or involving people and zombies must be addressed immediately with your superior being called for humans that pose no threat to the group as a whole.
6. Supply Runs should be conducted by the most capable, however new members that wish to take on a more physically inclined task must be mentored and follow the rules to safely get used to the systems and being as efficient and thorough as possible.
7. Do not at all circumstances touch Larse’s motorcycle nor play with the installed Dixie Horns. It wasn’t funny the first time and it won’t be funny in the future.
8. Threats to the gang are to be dealt with as quickly as possible. If they have anything on them, take it if useful.
9. All members who have proven worth their salt are to be treated with respect. This also goes for women and children.
10. Age for members is 15+, though 18+ is preferred. [ Talk to Larse or Royce's player if there are questions]

Description: A group focused on the work of mercenaries, Legion doesn't usually accept work unless there is a nice price tag to come with the job. They don't always do things in the fairest of ways , but they do what it takes to get the job done. Despite their rough, outward appearance upon acceptance to the group you'll realize that they operate a lot like a family does and that not everything is as uniform on the inside as it is on the outside. There are the main leaders, but in their absence a great deal of trust is displayed as they usually leave the trust of upkeep with the longest running members until they return. At the bar, this is the atmosphere they call home.

Rules:
1) No Outsiders are allowed within the walls of the Base. All Members are to be recruited by either the leader or the co-leader, unless there are special circumstances. People who make pre-determined Legion members must mention how they met Calyx at lease somewhere in their history. (Personally I don't really care if its mentioned in passing that's up to them)
2) All job information must be common knowledge among the entire group.
3) Taking jobs to intentionally kill, harm, or steal from other members is forbidden
4)Should Calyx and Ruri leave the base at the same time, leadership is left one or two of the senior members until their return. All members are to follow the designated temporary leaders orders.
5)Spike's chicken counts as a member, eating it is prohibited
5a)This also includes not throwing Spike's chicken into the fence.
6) All food is equally rationed and anyone found breaking this rule can and probably will be punished. This rule can be bent depending on the circumstances of the member requesting the extras. (Sickness, Serious traveling, ext.)
